What to Do in Val Thorens Part 2

Part 2: Activities in Val Thorens

Val Thorens Snow BoardingVal Thorens is a well-known ski resort in the French Alps, and there is a good reason why. A lot of people just simply love it. Val Thorens is known as one of the best ski resorts in Europe. In fact, for three years in a row, Val Thorens was proclaimed the best ski resort in Europe. Whether you are a wobbly first timer or you have a lot of experience under your belt when it comes to skiing, you can rest assured that Val Thorens has something for you.

Also, there is a lot of restaurants and activities for every budget, so you don’t have to worry about that either. As you can see, Val Thorens has a lot to offer, and that is why people love it so much. Here are some things that you can do while you are in Val Thorens.

Snowboarding

You should take this option with a pinch of salt. If you are not already familiar with snowboarding, you should know that it is not the same as skiing. In fact, it is much harder than skiing. It usually takes much more time to learn how to ride a snowboard than it takes to learn how to ski. And if you are actually thinking about snowboarding, perhaps you should just choose skiing instead.

So, unless you are a pretty good learner, or if spending the entire vacation by yourself sounds fine to you, your best solution would be to find something else to do. But, if you are already familiar with snowboarding, you are going to have a lot of fun!

Non-Skiing Winter Activities

When it comes to having fun in Val Thorens, there are many activities for non-skiers as well. These activities include ice driving, ice diving, mountain biking, yoga classes, sled dogs, snowmobiles, airbags and snowshoe outings. There is also a sports center where you can play basketball, ping pong and tennis, as well as swim.

Indoor Entertainment

Many of these activities are not really cheap, but skiing in the alps is not really cheap either, is it? However, you are a human being, which means that you probably want to spend some time getting to know people around you, as well as do some indoor activities that will not cost you a lot of money. There is a movie theater, a bowling alley, and a lot of bars. Basically, there is something for everyone!
